How to factory reset Grandstream GXP

How to factory reset a device?

Follow the steps below to factory reset your Grandstream device in order to bring back the factory default settings. This must be done before provisioning your Grandstream phone in case the device has residual settings of a previous configuration.

Factory Reset your Grandstream GXP phone

Please follow the instructions below to reset the phone:

Restore to Factory Default via the LCD Menu

  1. Press MENU button to bring up the keypad configuration menu.
  2. Select "System" or "Config" (depends on the model) and select press "OK".
  3. Select "Factory Reset".
  4. A warning window will pop out to make sure a reset is requested and confirmed.
  5. Press the "OK" softkey to confirm and the phone will reboot at least 2 times before it downloads all the configuration.
